Peru Banknotes and coins -Tribute for
national heritage/01
The
Central Reserve Bank of Peru issues banknotes and coins with images showing
details of national heritage, whether anthropological places or urban works of
the past and remain in use through conservation, among others. In its own
right, the archaeological heritage which amazes Peruvians and tourists, have
preferential treatment.
We present
this time three coins devoted to ceramics Vicus (Piura region), the sacred city
of Caral (Lima region) and the archaeological site of Huarautambo (Pasco region)
Vicus ceramics. Vicus is a pre-Inca
culture of ancient Peru that developed between the years 100 a. C. and 400 d.
C. in the coastal northern Peru, in the lower reaches of the Piura River, 7 km
Chulucanas district in the province of Morropon, Piura department.
The
administrative headquarters, located in the "hill Vicus", at an
altitude of 170 meters, which gives its name to this culture, liaised with
other Andean cities located further north. The Vicus worked with silver alloys,
gold and copper, these metals also used in the development of their farming
implements. The reverse of the coin the composition of two pottery Vicus is
observed.
Huarautambo archaeological site. The Central Reserve
Bank of Peru put into circulation since November 4, 2015 the new currency of S
/ 1.00 allusive Huarautambo the archaeological site, located in Cerro de Pasco,
presumably built around 1470 AD. Huarautambo is a belonging to the Inca culture
archaeological site. The resort features bridge, palace and pool built with
stone. It was declared Cultural Heritage of the Nation on 25 March 2003.
The
archaeological site of Astobamba - Huarautambo in Yanahuanca is located at
3,600 meters above sea level, it went through three periods: Pre Inca (ranked
Astobamba place of punishment); Inca (Huarautambo, or accommodation dawn); and
Colonial times (on both banks of the river Huarautambo). The tour of the place,

Caral. Although the details of
his past might never become known, it is considered that its primary function
was to serve as an administrative center for the production of cultivated
terraced farm or platforms built on the Andean slopes steep food and at the
same time, as the venue for rituals aimed to please the gods that provided
sustenance, God Goddess of Water and Earth or Pachamama.
