Porción farm, located 30 kilometers north of the city of Cajamarca, is an ideal tourist center to meet nature in an area of ​​12,800 hectares, full of greenery, with pine forests, alders and queñuales. Experiential tourism

Visitors can observe the way of life of the villagers, participate in agricultural, livestock and forestry work; They can feed animals or participate in craft workshops, or learn weaving techniques that have lasted for hundreds of years. It is possible to visit the forest nursery, learn the techniques of planting trees, the process of growth and exploitation to obtain wood.

If you have good physical condition, you can walk to the Lazareto Waterfall, the Tambillo waterfall, observe the flora and fauna. At the trout farm you can choose what you want for dinner. Pine forest

In the Porcón Farm, an integral reforestation project of 10,000 ha has been developed over the last 25 years. in high areas to protect and take advantage of the richness of the soil, conserve flora and fauna. The result was the transformation of an inhospitable place in an attractive town surrounded by the largest artificial pine forest of Peru, surrounded by life. The forestry activity generates jobs with the wood extracted from the forest, and it is processed right there.

There are two typical restaurants that use the products of the farm in the preparation of food and offer exquisite dishes of the region. In the shops you can buy dairy products (cheese, butter, blancmange, yogurt), as well as textiles and ornaments.




Zoo

In the Zoo there are animals from the natural regions of Peru; including 3 animals in danger of extinction. You can meet animals such as vizcachas, alpacas, vicuñas, peacocks, cows, ostriches, otorongo, among others.
