The Peruvian Paso Horse-Wonder of the equine world

The Peruvian Paso Horse

The Spanish arrived in Peru, accompanied by their horses, which represented a formidable actions conquest medium. The Incas did not know this animal so her stunning figure and outscored their primitive force displacement means and military attack.

When the Spanish usurpation was consolidated, the horse was a valuable resource for farming, as it allowed to move in spacious grounds on uneven trails, difficult for (the sand) human traffic.

In this context, setting, for adaptation to the environment, the way of walking that now characterizes the Peruvian horse.

In the Arabian horse adapted to run on plains or desert terrain at high speeds, the rider feels that moves like lightning; the rider of a Peruvian Paso horse, feels as light as a feather.

The Incas were transferred on thrones charged by numerous servers, and I dare say that if they  have had a choice between the mobile throne and the Paso horse, the latter would become his favorite means of travel.

In Peru, there is a private institution, the National Association of Owners and Breeders of Peruvian Paso Horses, ANCPCPP, whose origin was a meeting in a rustic cabin Peruvian Equestrian Club on September 23, 1947, after the legal constitution consolidates on November 5, 1947

Ministerial Resolution No 0208-88-AG/DGG of April 19, 1988, as amended by Ministerial Resolution No. 00411 90-AG/DGG of April 25, 1990, the Employer Peruvian Paso Horse with the morphological characteristics was approved and functional suitable to race. This standard update suggestions Pattern Peruvian Paso Horse conducted by the National Association of Breeders and Owners of Peruvian Paso Horses, by the desirability of adopting a new pattern that ensures genetic quality improvement process as adopted genetic breed.

The handles ANCPCPP care race, conducting contests and events, genetic record, exchange with institutions abroad and undertake to maintain the image of the Peruvian cultural heritage.

In some village warrior tradition, as the Huns, the men from kids to learn to ride and drive spirited horses, in a demonstration of strength and virility, eventually, women assimilate these skills. In Peru, the absence of war needs where these animals are required, women have learned to ride horses on the way, the goal is not to show strength or power, but the elegance, femininity, the art of driving a animal whose picture and walking are so natural and artistic events.

They are called the Peruvian Amazon and parade them in parades and cultural events held over horse is a show that excites and impresses the most indifferent. In the end, everyone dreams of riding a horse step.

Other cultural events such as dance have been enriched by the presence and participation of the horse step. The marinera norteña , national symbol of Peru in the dances, becomes a magic show when the rider mounted on a horse gentle and elegant way, accompanies women in their own evolutions of this contagious dance. Or when both mounted on beautiful horses, performing the same dance. The horses seem extensions of their own bodies.

The culture of the Peruvian Paso horse has already spread to several countries; in all of them, because their participation is a feeling and as a source of pride for Peru, being permanent ambassador of Peruvian culture.

Chabuca Granda, remembered composer and interpreter of Peruvian music had on his lyrics to the peruvian paso  horse.

Jose Antonio /Lyrics)

Por una vereda viene cabalgando José Antonio,
se vienen desde El Barranco a ver la flor de amancaes;
y con alegre retozo el caballo pajarea;
que es blanca y roja;
enseñándole el amblar del paso llano gateado;
y el nervio tierno y alerta para el deseo del amo;
que es blanca y roja;
que sea junio y garúe;
me acurrucaré a tu espalda
''bajo tu poncho de lino
y en las cintas del sombrero
quiero ver los amancaes
que recoja para ti,
cuando a la grupa me lleves
de ese tu sueño dorado
de tu caballo de paso
¡Aquél del paso peruano!
